Here is another cute idea that I came up with for Father’s Day. This is actually a gift box shaped like a t-shirt. It can easily hold a pair of socks or a tie. To dress up the box a little bit I added overalls and a wrench. This was a quickie project for me (thanks to my Silhouette machine) and I didn’t really spend a lot of time dressing up the t-shirt itself. I think I will give this project another go later on today.
I gave the overalls a denim look by applying ‘Night of Navy’ ink to a light blue cardstock with a stipple brush. I am so sorry for the crappy photo. My son was playing with my camera again and now I have to figure out how to reset it.

Father’s Day is just around the corner so I thought I’d get a jump on my hubby’s gift. I designed this cute little mini toolbox which holds mini tools (of course), 10 mini Hershey’s candies (DH adores chocolate), and a hotel gift certificate. DH really wants to go to Mongomery, NY to visit the Orange County Chopper facility so I’m encouraging him along by paying for his hotel stay. Of course, I will be taking him out to dinner too
My toolbox was made with Real Red cardstock and was distressed (on all sides) using a stipple brush and Close to Cocoa ink. The distressing gave the toolbox a greasy, dirty look.

How freaking adorable is this? A 3D Adirondak/Beach Chair!
While on vacation in Florida, I stumbled into the most wonderful Stamp Store called ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. While browsing through the amazing products I spotted a little paper chair sitting on a shelf. I fell in love! I asked the owner about the chair but she had no idea where it came from nor did she have a template to share. I absolutely had to have a chair of my own so I studied the display model, ran to my car and jotted down some notes, and eventually came up with my own template.

I am currently finalizing the template and I’ll have it uploaded tomorrow. Promise!
Well, my vacation is over and I had the most amazing time! Wow, I can’t wait to do it again next year.
Since my daughter has been home sick with the flu and has been resting for the past four days, I was able to find some quiet time to craft; something I haven’t done in a very long time. I came up with this idea after finding a package of individually wrapped lifesavers at my local WalMart. The box holds 8 of the larger sized lifesavers just perfectly! I’ll fine tune the template and will get it uploaded at The Stamp Shack.
